Bookmark – anniversary

To mark the first anniversary since we re-branded as Hyphen, we commissioned a set of bespoke bookmarks representing landmarks from our seven office locations.

At Hyphen we pride ourselves on our eye for detail, so we asked staff to identify the landmarks using details about each of them. The answers are provided below:

“Nicknamed after a bell, but currently silenced for crucial conservation work”

Elizabeth Tower ‘Big Ben’ (London, UK)

“Its white façade is made of Novelda stone and sometimes appears to have a hint of gold”

Palacio de Cibeles (Madrid, Spain)

“Repainted every seven years – requiring 60 tonnes of paint”

Tour Eiffel (Paris, France)

“Modelled on the Propylaeum of Athens’ Acropolis”

Brandenburger Tor (Berlin, Germany)

“Has been rebuilt several times due to earthquakes”

Catedral Metropolitana de Santiago (Santiago, Chile)

“Took nearly six centuries to complete”

Duomo di Milano (Milan, Italy)

“Situated in the ancient capital of England”

Statue of Alfred the Great (Winchester, UK)
