Between the 4-6th March, we’ll be attending the International Hotel Investment Forum – a major calendar event and gathering for those within the hospitality industry. IHIF is held annually in Berlin – where we’ve had an office for over 25 years now.
Hyphen works across a range of commercial sectors including retail, offices and data centres, but it is our work within the hospitality sector that has seen the most transformation – incorporating flexible workspace and spas in recent years. The trend for the combination of business and leisure for travellers, as well as wellness in general, has influenced the market and, in turn, what clients have asked of us.
Now that things are moving toward short-stay compact budget accommodation or longer-term serviced private apartments, it will be interesting to see what architectural briefs we’re presented with across all regions in which we operate. (Together with Berlin, Hyphen also has offices in London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Santiago and Winchester.)
